How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Cosmetic refresh (paint, hardware, fixtures only): 4–8 days. Mid-tier remodel with new tile, vanity, and tub/shower swap: 2–4 weeks active. Full gut with plumbing relocation: 4–7 weeks. Add 2–4 weeks for any custom-order tile, glass shower enclosure, or specialty fixture. Most bathrooms are out of service for the entire active phase, so plan use of another bathroom or a rental for projects beyond a long weekend. Tile installation is the longest single phase — set + grout + cure runs 4–7 days even on a small footprint.
